What We Expect From Our Project Managers
We expect our Project Managers to *run their projects like they own them.*
You should know what happened on your projects today, what's happening tomorrow, and what's coming several weeks down the road.
You should know which subcontractors are confirmed, who needs to be followed up with, what materials need to be ordered, which client decisions are outstanding, where the project stands against the schedule, and what potential problems need to be addressed.
Construction will always have challenges. We don't expect everything to go perfectly. What we do expect is someone who communicates quickly, takes responsibility, finds solutions, and keeps the project moving forward.
We want our PMs to *anticipate, communicate, solve, and follow through.*
Who We're Looking For
We want someone who takes pride in what they do and understands the level of responsibility that comes with managing someone's custom home.
You should be able to walk onto a jobsite and recognize what is going well, what isn't right, what needs to happen next, and what could become a problem two or three weeks from now.
The right person will be:
* Highly organized
* Proactive rather than reactive
* Detail-oriented
* Dependable
* Comfortable holding subcontractors accountable
* Confident communicating with homeowners
* Able to have difficult conversations professionally
* A strong problem solver
* Comfortable making decisions
* Comfortable being held accountable
* Willing to follow established systems and processes
* Comfortable with technology
* Open to learning and improving
* A strong team player
* Interested in helping build something for the long term
Our core values are *communication, honesty and integrity, compassion, solution creation, hard work, and innovation.* We expect our Project Managers to represent those values with our homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and team.
Long-Term Opportunity
We are building Mitchell Construction & Design for the long term, and *we want someone who wants to be part of that growth.*
We aren't looking for someone who plans to stay for a year and move on to the next opportunity. We want to invest in someone who is willing to invest in us.
As our company grows, we want this position to grow with it. For the right person, there will be opportunities for *additional responsibility, leadership, increased compensation, and advancement within the company.*
If you're looking for a place where you can take ownership, help build something, and have the opportunity to grow as the company grows, we'd like to talk with you.
