Role Description Divine Recovery Hope Clinic is seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor for a full-time, on-site position in Chicago, IL. The Counselor will deliver individual and group counseling to clients struggling with substance use disorders, assist in developing personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing support to aid clients in their recovery journey. The role includes maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and facilitating educational sessions to promote awareness on addiction and recovery. The Counselor will play an essential role in fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment for clients. Qualifications Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (required).Strong counseling skills, including individual and group sessions, and an ability to build trust and rapport with clients.Experience in creating and implementing tailored treatment plans for individuals facing substance use disorders.Competence in maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinical and legal standards.Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary professionals, including healthcare providers and case managers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as active listening abilities.Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities and recovery principles.Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field (preferred).Familiarity with diverse populations and the ability to provide culturally responsive care.
