Telluride Sports Bike Rental Technician/Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Engage and connect with customers by providing the highest level of service to enhance guests experience. Provide bike rental guests with highest level of rental service Must be able to multi-task and work in a busy environment Must be available to work weekends Striving to exceed daily and seasonal sales targets, use upselling and add-ons to increase sales Maintain and stay up-to-date on product knowledge to provide exceptional guest service. Ability to answer customer questions; provide detailed information including features and benefits of products Ability to maintain professional demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues. Know and enforce safety initiatives consistent with company guidelines. Supports Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives. Adheres to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures. Promote, support and understand all activities and events occurring on or off mountain. Proficient in POS operations Provides a fun guest experience that exceeds members/guests’ expectations. Receiving of goods, tagging, transferring. Stock product Clean shelves, counters, floors and merchandise as needed. Refer customer problems and complains to manager or another senior staff member if appropriate. Individual compensation dependent on experience and variety of factors.Job Description:Telluride Sports is currently seeking a Bike Mechanic. We invite you to be part of our team dedicated to helping other discover and enjoy the outside. Assemble and maintain our bike fleet bikes. Perform a variety of service functions on new and used bikes. Through direct contact with customers provide exceptional service and share product and technical expertise to enhance the customer experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Assists customers in an enthusiastic, professional and courteous mannerResponsible for properly taking in all service work including correctly filling out service work orders, scheduling an appropriate number of repairs and completing those repairs in a timely mannerAdvises and assists customers with their product selection without biasCommunicates with store manager repair and warranty part needsDevelops and maintains knowledge expertise of all merchandise in department to effectively assist customers with accurate information; keeps current as new product lines are introducedAssists with bike sales and any other bike floor duties as neededMaintain rental fleet of mountain bikes, road bikes and cruisersAppropriately fit customers for rental bikes according to industry standardsAssemble bikes to high level of QC standards, 2nd check bikes assembled by others as requiredMaintains a clean and safe workplaceCheck all safety equipment daily for proper functionUse all safety equipment and procedures at all timesReport any existing or potential safety hazard to supervisor immediately or remedy when possiblePerforms other duties as assigned by the store manager/supervisorOccasionally climbing and use of far acuity, depth perception and field of visionQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
