There is a small airport, a University, a nice community that offers something for everyone.It is known as a Desert Oasis in the heart of the Columbia Basin in Central Washington with 4 seasons and 330 plus days of sunshine.If that sounds like the change you are looking for, please read on...What they're looking for:• Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods.• Previous experience in dietetics, one-year clinical dietitian experience preferred. Previous experience with the EMR EPIC preferred.• Current Certified Dietitian status for Washington State.• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics registration or RD eligible.• Current Washington State Food Handlers permit.• Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.Hours and compensation potential:• Position is full time, 9am-5:30pm• Range is between $33.43hr-$51.68hr depending on experience. Additional shift diffs as well.• Full benefits package including relocation assistance(5K).What you'll be doing:• The individual in this position reports to the Nutrition Services Director. This position works closely with Physicians and Nutrition Services staff in order to meet patient's nutritional needs.• Provides support for patients with food preferences, helps with proper menu selections.• Provides educational support regarding special diets by making educational material available for patients on special diets.• Utilizes Nutrition Care Practice Guidelines for inpatients.• Conducts nutrition assessments on patients within the timeframes outlined in the Nutrition Assessment Standard Operating Procedure.• Modifies patient's menus, as necessary, and is available to Nutrition Services staff for diet clarifications.• Updates and/or writes new diet handouts as needed.• Conducts diet in-services to Nutrition Services staff, as requested.• Records all pertinent nutritional information in the medical chart (calorie counts totals, nutrition assessments, summary of teaching, etc.).• Helps train and orient new Diet Technicians and Dietitians using the appropriate orientation checklist.• Is a resource for community service nutrition talks and nutrition questions from the general public.• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.• Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. This includes, but is not limited to: security and safety, understanding of MSDS, equipment, infection control, fire, disaster, safe lifting and body mechanics.• Ensures self-compliance with organization policies and procedures, as well as labor agreements.• Ensures the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a courteous and efficient manner conducive with the organization's values.Additional Info:• The individual in this position reports to the Director.• Brand new hospital just opened it spring of 2026.
