Electrical Designer

Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing and automation-focused client seeking an Electrical Designer with strong control panel design experience. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity ideal for someone with a solid background in industrial electrical design and UL508A standards.In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing control panels used in industrial applications, working closely with engineering teams to deliver accurate and compliant electrical designs.Responsibilities:Design and develop industrial control panels using AutoCAD or AutoCAD ElectricalCreate detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings in compliance with UL508A standardsGenerate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for control panel componentsInterpret project requirements, specifications, and applicable electrical codesPerform electrical calculations including load, voltage drop, and circuit sizingSelect components for AC/DC systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and related equipmentCollaborate with engineers on control system integration, including PLC and HMI functionalityEnsure all designs meet NEC, NFPA, and industry standardsQualifications:Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field required; Bachelor's degree (BSEE or BSEET) preferred5+ years of electrical design experience with a strong focus on control panel designHands-on experience designing UL508A-compliant control panelsProficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD ElectricalFamiliarity with EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical is a plusStrong knowledge of electrical theory, industrial automation, and power distributionUnderstanding of NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A standardsExperience in industrial environments such as manufacturing, oil and gas, steel, or similar industries is a plusElectrical Designer - Control Panel Design - 26-00201
