Counselor III - Certified (AOD)

JOB SUMMARYThis position will develop clinical treatment plans and provide individual, family, and crisis intervention counseling.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide counseling in a clinic setting.Facilitate specialized group sessions.Coordinate with the client care team to develop treatment plans.Assess and report on client progress.Make appropriate referrals during treatment and for aftercare follow-up.Prepare progress and discharge or termination letters for social workers and the court system.Serve as a guide for self-sufficiency and a lifestyle free of substance abuse.Keep current and accurate records.Interact professionally with the client and the client's family or representatives.Consider the client's cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.Perform other duties as assigned.
