C/C++ Linux Software Engineer

About the CompanyWe're seeking a C/C++ Linux Software Engineer and application development experience to support mission-critical defense applications. This is a 100% onsite role in Bossier City, Louisiana, so local candidates or those willing to relocate before joining are strongly preferred.About the RoleSecurity Requirement: Candidates with an Active Secret Clearance are highly preferred. Candidates who previously held a Secret Clearance or are eligible to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance will also be considered.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance enterprise software using C/C++ on Linux.Design, code, test, debug, and maintain mission-critical applications.Collaborate with software engineers through code reviews and Agile development.Troubleshoot software issues and improve application performance.Build and maintain software using GCC, Makefiles, Git/GitLab, and Linux development tools.Participate in software design, documentation, and system integration.Support applications involving network communication and distributed systems.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Required Skills5+ years of professional software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with C and C++.Experience developing applications in Linux environments.Knowledge of software design, debugging, and troubleshooting.Experience using Git/GitLab.Basic Java experience.Understanding of network communication (TCP/IP, sockets, etc.).Preferred SkillsActive Secret Clearance.Previous Secret Clearance with ability to regain clearance.Experience obtaining Interim Secret Clearance.Experience compiling code using GCC and Makefiles.Bash/Shell scripting.Defense, aerospace, or government contractor experience.
