Accounting Manager | ManufacturingA growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and oversee critical financial functions including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close activities.This is a highly visible leadership role that combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with team management, compliance oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General LedgerManage customer invoicing, collections, and accurate application of cash receiptsOversee accounts payable processing, including annual 1099 preparation and reportingReview and approve payroll to ensure compliance and accuracy of wages, deductions, and benefitsPerform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and post journal entries and reconcile key balance sheet accounts during month-end closeSupport annual financial audits and benefits-related reportingUpload and manage banking files in coordination with financial institutionsReview corporate credit card activity and prepare related journal entriesAdminister COBRA-related events and benefits auditsManage office administration and purchasing activities, including raw material surcharge calculationsSupervise payroll staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee developmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including payroll oversightStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end closeExperience with audits, bank reconciliations, and 1099 reportingProficiency with accounting and payroll systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesPreferred ExperienceBackground in manufacturing, industrial, or unionized environmentsExperience with purchasing and vendor managementStrong problem-solving skills and a hands-on leadership styleWhy This Opportunity?This role offers the chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic manufacturing organization by leading core accounting functions, improving processes, and developing a high-performing team.
