TechnicianMechanic you will be responsible for diagnosing maintaining and repairing power generation systemsprimarily diesel driven generatorsto ensure reliable and efficient operation Youll work directly in the field responding to customer needs performing preventative maintenance troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues and completing repairs safely and efficiently Key responsibilities include monitoring generator performance conducting routine inspections and maintenance identifying and resolving technical issues and supporting system upgrades to improve performance and reliability You will also play an important role in maintaining safety standards and helping implement best practices while working in a variety of field conditions This position is level knowledge of andor experience with power generation productsComplete preventative maintenance and repairs on generators or components at customer sites with minimal supervisionDiagnose repair adjust and modify components of the generator engine and switchgearMaintain positive interactions with service writers foremen parts department and customersKeep paperwork updated and submit upon completionMeet certification requirementsPerform administrative duties related to the rolePower Generation TechnicianMechanic Requirements High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience working with industrial power generation setsExperience with diesel and natural gas engines electrical switchgear and automatic transfer switchesMust have your own set of general toolsAbility to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairsUse computers for web based training and repair order systemsPhysically able to lift and work with no restrictionsClean driving record and ability to pass a DOT PhysicalIdeal Power Generation TechnicianMechanic Candidate Qualities Technical degree or certification a plusPositive attitude and excellent customer
