Job Title: Structural Engineer – Team Leader Job Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire) Location: Boston, MA (Onsite) Relocation Assistance: Available Job Overview A growing consulting engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer – Team Leader to support and lead bridge inspection and structural analysis projects. This role involves field inspections, engineering analysis, report preparation, and collaboration with project teams on transportation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on bridge inspection experience and a strong foundation in structural engineering. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections of bridges, tunnels, and related structures Prepare detailed inspection reports and engineering documentation Conduct structural analysis and calculations Support bridge design, rehabilitation, and load rating activities Coordinate with internal teams and project stakeholders Travel to project and inspection sites as required Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering 3+ years of bridge inspection experience Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification Experience with structural analysis and bridge inspection procedures Strong report writing and technical documentation skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Willingness to travel for field inspections U.S. work authorization Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license (MA) or ability to obtain within 12 months Experience with state or local transportation infrastructure projects Experience with bridge load rating and rehabilitation/design NHI Bridge Inspector Training Certification Knowledge of tunnel inspections, railroad structures, or highway ancillary structures
