Service ManagerSalary Range $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 Salary Position Type Full TimeDescriptionThe approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.Purpose:Manages service operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment by optimizing Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Grows profitable service labor sales and exercises disciplined expense control. Consistently exhibits Midwest Machinery Company's core purpose and values.Responsibilities:Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfactionAssists in developing, and executes, Service Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goalsCoordinates customer clinics and related promotional eventsMonitors all service warranty and Product Improvement Program expiration dates to keep within the required timeframe to receive maximum creditSchedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledgeReviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing: closes work orders in a timely fashionEnsures all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working orderManages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positionParticipates in service EDUCATE training program required for the development of skills and knowledgeParticipates in, or hosts, at least one local school-related career day/experience per yearAttracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.Attends to, and resolves, employee and inter-departmental issues in a fair and expedient mannerMaintains and promotes a safe work environment.
