Documentation Specialist (Entry Level - Engineering Department)

As a Control Engineer, you'll be a key technical contributor helping scale and optimize our high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing operation.Position SummaryJTEKT is seeking a detail-oriented and organizedDocumentation Specialistto support our Engineering team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technical documentation, data, and cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.In this position, you will help create, maintain, and organize engineering and quality documentation, support new product launch activities, and assist with purchasing and reporting processes. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering support, quality systems, and manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain quality documentation includingPFMEA, MQC, ECCS, FSCS, control plans , and related documents under engineering directionDevelop and maintainTechnical Instruction Sheets (TIS)Support new product launch activities (including spare parts registration)Maintain and updateprocess sheets , routing for revisions as neededTrack and maintainECR/PCR documentation statusCreate and maintain management status reports (MOC updates, process deviation tracking, etc.)Submit and trackpurchase requisitionswithin the ERP systemResearch purchase order status and generate capital project status reportsContact vendors to obtain pricing and quotationsMaintain organization and 5S standards within the engineering document room and assigned areasProvide general administrative and reporting support to the engineering teamTravel occasionally as neededPerform additional duties as assigned QualificationsRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong attention to detail with high accuracy in documentation and reportingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency inMicrosoft Excel and WordComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentSelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work overtime as needed Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in a technical or related field ORHigh School Diploma/GED with relevant manufacturing or engineering support experienceFamiliarity withAIAG core quality tools (PFMEA, control plans, etc.)Experience using ERP systemsBasic knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental management systemsExposure to SolidWorks is a plus#INDPRO
