Job Summary: We are seeking two experienced Senior Full Stack Developers to support the development of an existing platform within a leading financial services organization. These developers will join a growing team supporting hands-on development across both the backend and frontend, split between Java/Spring Boot and Angular. This role is designed for experienced developers who can quickly learn a new environment, take ownership of defined requirements, and independently build and deliver solutions. While technical leads and SMEs will provide architecture and design direction, developers are expected to execute independently, collaborate closely with the broader engineering team, and take their work through development, testing, integration, and deployment. The position is based at Pershing Plaza in New Jersey with an expectation of working onsite four days per week. Key Responsibilities: Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and enhance full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and database technologies, working approximately 50/50 across backend and frontend development. API & Microservices Development: Build and optimize REST APIs and microservices with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and integration with broader application environments. Independent Delivery: Take defined requirements and JIRA stories from technical leads and independently determine how to develop, test, and integrate solutions with limited day-to-day direction. New Application Development: Contribute primarily to new development and application enhancement initiatives, including the Frontier project, rather than working predominantly in a production support or maintenance capacity. Testing & Integration: Own development through unit testing, integration, peer review, team testing, business testing, and preparation for production deployment. Code Quality & Review: Participate in peer code reviews and work with managers and technical leads to ensure development standards, quality, maintainability, and security requirements are met. AI-Assisted Development: Leverage AI development tools where appropriate to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and overall development productivity. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical leads, SMEs, QA, DevOps, product partners, and other developers across U.S. and India-based teams to successfully deliver solutions. Technical Ownership: Demonstrate accountability for assigned work, proactively ask questions when needed, troubleshoot issues independently, and ensure development activities do not become blockers for the broader team. Qualifications: 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with a strong background in full-stack application development Strong hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Boot Strong frontend development experience with Angular Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices Strong experience working with databases and application integrations Demonstrated ability to independently take technical requirements through development, testing, and integration Experience participating in peer code reviews and working within collaborative development teams Strong communication, accountability, and problem-solving skills Bachelor’s degree required Preferred Experience: Previous experience within investment banking, financial services, or banking environments Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Windsurf, Copilot, or similar technologies Experience using AI tools to support software development, testing, debugging, and productivity Experience working across globally distributed development teams Exposure to CI/CD, application modernization, and Agile development environments Why Join Us: This is an opportunity to join a new development initiative within a major financial services environment and contribute directly to the build-out platforms.
