Engineering Project Manager – Industrial Engineering & ConstructionPosition OverviewAn established engineering and construction organization is seeking a mid-to-senior level Engineering Project Manager to support the execution of complex industrial capital projects across multiple manufacturing sectors.This individual will lead engineering coordination and technical execution for multidisciplinary projects in fast-paced industrial environments. The role requires close collaboration with project leadership, engineering teams, vendors, and field personnel to ensure successful delivery of engineering scope, technical quality, and constructability.Projects may include advanced manufacturing, process facilities, industrial production environments, and large-scale infrastructure upgrades.This is a full-time, in-office position.KEY RESONSIBILITIES:Engineering & Technical LeadershipLead engineering execution for industrial and manufacturing-related capital projectsCoordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts including mechanical, process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural disciplinesReview and validate technical designs, equipment selections, and engineering deliverablesEnsure engineering solutions support safe construction, startup, operability, and maintainabilitySupport technical decision-making and project risk mitigationProject Coordination & ExecutionDevelop and manage engineering schedules, deliverables, and staffing plansTrack engineering progress and collaborate with project leadership to support overall project objectivesAssist with evaluating scope changes and technical impacts during project executionCoordinate effectively between engineering, procurement, construction, and field teamsClient, Vendor & Field InterfaceServe as a primary technical contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholdersReview technical submittals, drawings, and vendor documentationProvide engineering support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phasesParticipate in field walks and support issue resolution during active constructionSafety & QualityEnsure engineering activities comply with applicable industry standards and safety requirementsSupport constructability reviews, quality initiatives, and hazard assessmentsPromote strong safety-in-design principles throughout the project lifecycleTeam DevelopmentProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staffCollaborate with leadership on process improvements and engineering best practicesOpportunity to eventually supervise and develop a small engineering teamPreferred ExperienceHeavy industrial or large-scale manufacturing project experienceExperience supporting projects in sectors such as:Advanced manufacturingIndustrial processingConsumer products manufacturingEnergy or infrastructure environmentsFamiliarity with industrial facility construction and EPC-style project executionRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredCandidates with an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification who are willing to obtain their PE license within one year of hire will also be considered7+ years of progressive engineering and project execution experience in industrial environmentsExperience managing engineering scope for capital projects within construction or manufacturing settingsPreferred Skills & SoftwareBluebeam experience preferredAutoCAD experience preferredStrong communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teamsUnderstanding of engineering deliverables, project workflows, and construction coordinationWork EnvironmentFull-time, in-office positionCombination of office and active industrial/construction site environmentsOccasional travel may be required depending on project needsAbility to support field activities and site walkdowns as requiredBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceRelocation assistanceTuition reimbursementVision insurance
