Mercy General Hospital is proud to foster inclusion and diversity as part of our mission vision and values.ResponsibilitiesManager Clinical Pharmacy facilitates the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies. This position serves as a professional practice leader, educator, and mentor and has an advanced practice role functioning as a clinical specialist both within the pharmacy and within interdisciplinary teams. This position will play a key role in managing operations, logistics, finance, safety, and risk management for the pharmacy departmentSubject matter expert and responsible for all the day-to-day activities of a clinical pharmacistResponsible for developing competencies of their respective clinical teams and enhancing the clinical programs to care for patients at their facilityMust have training in: clinical protocols/guidelines, applicable EHR utilization, on-line drug information resources, parenteral nutrition, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, pharmacy automation, and computer applicationsKnowledge of pharmaceutical preparations; drug therapy review and evaluation; drug information sources, retrieval and interpretation; medication use evaluation; use of evidence-based protocols; adverse drug reaction reporting and evaluation; disease state management; and formulary management relative to all patient age groups served at the facilityThe Pharmacy Clinical Manager must demonstrate the ability to precept residents’ learning experiences QualificationsRequired:B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy requiredMinimum of 2 years of recent pharmacy (or similar) work experienceRegistered Pharmacist in state of CALicensure:Registered Pharmacist license in state of CA. Oversight for an acute care facility requires licensure in the state in which you practice.Preferred:Minimum of 1 year in a leadership position or pharmacy residency completed or supplemental Masters Degree (MBA, MS, MHA, etc)Membership in the ASHP, ASCP, WSSHP, APHA and/or other professional associations is desirablePay Range$75.64 - $109.67 /hour
