Who We AreOriginally founded in Silicon Valley in 1952, we are humbled by the long-term relationships with our customers, earned through the packaging solutions we offer, including design, engineering, testing, manufacturing, and fulfillment of custom and stock packagingYour RoleMaterial Planner Work Schedule: Monday to FridayBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, and Holiday PayAs a Material Planner with us, you’ll work closely with customer service, sales, purchasing production and inventory control as you take on responsibility for maintaining an efficient flow of materials to maximize efficiency, eliminate hindrances (labor and material shortages plus backlogs) and assume compliance with materials requirementsWhat You’ll Be DoingPlanning and SchedulingDrives effective material flow to meet customer contracts and delivery dates Using sales forecasts, lead times, and customer orders drives efficient manufacturing workflows that minimize overtime and maximize outputPlans and schedules material flow for each operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead timesMonitor’s material requirements and availability coordinating with inventory and procurementCommunication and CoordinationCommunicate with the production team daily to prioritize changing critical shipments, special projects and safety stockCommunicate with customer service team and sales personnel about critical orders, special projects and daily orders for customersCoordinates with design engineers on part number setup and First Article Inspection requirements for new customers or new productsCommunicate with purchasing team and inventory control manager to resolve shortages or delays in production due to materialsCoordinate with purchasing and inbound receiving team to receive and distribute materials for the production teamResolves job problems reported by the production team and executes short term and long-term solutionsData Analysis and ReportingWorks within ERP system, utilizing MRP, to schedule firm work ordersAnalyzes data and reports to create efficient schedulingDevelop metrics and reporting to measure output and performance of the production teamMonitors and tracks order and maintain manufacturing workflow to deliver on-time. Prepares production reportsAnalyzes production specifications and production capacity data and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes and toolsConfers with Production Supervisor to determine status of assigned projects or production runsWhat We’d Like To See From YouHighly Desired Associates Degree from two-year collegeERP experience, specifically SageScheduling / Planning certificationProficiency in Outlook, Word, and ExcelPossesses strong analytical thinkingStrong analytical, problem solving and organizational skillsPreferredWell organized, self-motivated, and detail-orientedDemonstrated planning and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsBilingual English-Spanish preferredInterested but Concerned You’re Not Qualified?Don’t meet every single requirement?
