A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg Tele/n/nJob Details:/n• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM/n• Every other weekend rotation with holidays as needed/n• Float required between all Cone Health facilities/n• Minimum 2 years experience required, first-time travelers accepted/n• Patient ratio of 6:1 for all shifts/n• 36-hour orientation period/n• Care for acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients/n• Epic charting system experience required/n• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)/n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS and NIH preferred/n• Med Surg Tele and Telemetry experience required/n• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences/n• Full compliance file required by 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date/n• Must be prepared to administer IV medication drips including Heparin and TNA/n• Handle patient diagnoses including respiratory illness, post-operative care, orthopedics, CHF, diabetes, renal failure, and arrhythmias/n• Work with 34-bed unit serving adults and geriatrics/n• Local radius restriction of 50 miles applies/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility operates a 41-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit providing comprehensive care for acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.
