Legal Advisor (Contract _PIU Based Compensation _No Salary)
FFP is seeking a Legal Advisor to support our CEO and management on labor,employment, and compliance matters. Responsibilities include advising on legalissues, drafting contracts and agreements, conducting legal research, and ensuringcompliance with local and federal laws.Responsibilities:Advising and counseling FFP CEO and Managers on legal issues involvingpeople who provide any kind of service to the organization (i.e. volunteers,employees, others).Handling employment issues and other labor/employment matters.Drafting and preparing legal documentation, such as contracts,agreements, or claims. Ensuring these are implemented.Researching documents and previous cases to create legal arguments.Conduct legal research and keep up to date with new labor/ employmentlegislation.Evaluating different risk factors and offering proactive advice on possiblelegal/ labor issues.Maintaining current knowledge of laws and provide clarification on legallanguage advising Management.Monitoring and ensuring on a regular basis the FFP compliance with localand federal laws.Qualifications:Senior year law student or min 2 years of experience as a labor/employment advisor (preferred).Experience in advising and counseling managers (preferred).Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.Strong knowledge of state and federal labor and employment law.Sr. Candidate with a law degree from an accredited law school and3+ years of relevant legal experience as an associate at a law firm orin-house counsel is preferrable.Nice to have: Experience working in house at a startup.Additional Information :This role is structured as a contract engagement and includes participation in the company’s Profits Interest Unit (PIU) program. PIUs provide contributors the opportunity to share in the future growth and success of the company as key milestones are achieved. Units vest based on the successful completion of agreed project deliverables and represent participation in future profit and value appreciation above a defined threshold.
