Salary Information $1,101 per Equivalent Credit Hour (ECH). Job Summary Adjunct Fire Science Online Instructor to teach Fire Science courses as well as HSC114 for Fall Semester 2026. This position supports asynchronous course delivery for students pursuing fire service education in a flexible online format while maintaining strong instructional quality, timely communication, and meaningful student engagement. Review the Fire Science AAS Program site for more information on potential courses. Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment. Required Qualifications Associate degree or diploma/certificate in Fire Science, Fire Protection, Emergency Services, or a closely related field. 3 years non-teaching relevant professional experience in the fire service or associated public safety roles. Effective written communication and the ability to teach successfully in an online environment using common instructional technologies. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Postsecondary or online teaching experience. Possess industry-recognized certifications relevant to subject area. Experience developing asynchronous course content and using applied fire service case studies in instruction. Work Schedule Adjunct Fire Science Instructor for Fall Semester 2026.
