We specialize in explicit phonics instruction, focusing on building foundational reading skills and boosting confidence. We are dedicated to the holistic development of our clients, making our sessions enjoyable for students who face reading challenges. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where each child can thrive. We believe in the power of data to drive our instruction and focus on assessment to guide lesson planning. Job Description:We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Reading Intervention Specialist to join our team. You will be working one-on-one with students in their homes, delivering tailored reading instruction that supports their individual needs. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by helping them develop the skills they need to succeed. Responsibilities: Provide explicit phonics instruction to students (ages 5-10) Assess students' reading levels and tailor lessons to meet their needs Work closely with team to ensure that students are receiving the best instruction Build and maintain strong relationships with students and families Regularly communicate progress with families Adapt instructional methods to suit each student’s learning style Travel to students' homes within Orange County Requirements: Valid teaching credential Classroom experience in teaching reading, preferably with phonics based instruction Knowledge of phonics and reading intervention strategies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes Willingness to create positive, lasting relationships with students and families Afternoon/evening or morning availability for in-home sessions Preferred Qualifications: Experience with explicit phonics instruction programs Special education experience is a plus Compensation:Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.
