About UsOur Beginning School is a Reggio Emilia–inspired early learning school serving children from infancy through early childhood. We are expanding with the opening of Moai School (a Christian School) and are building a thoughtful, values-driven organization grounded in relationships, strong systems, and deep respect for children and educators.We believe that when adult systems are clear, consistent, and supportive, teachers can focus on what matters most—the children.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and grounded HR & Operations Manager to lead and strengthen the people and operational systems across our schools.This role is essential to ensuring:Staff are supported and held accountableSystems are organized and compliantThe school operates with clarity and consistencyThis is a hands-on - on-site role for someone who is both people-centered and systems-driven.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and corrective actionMonitor and manage employee attendance and staffing stabilityEnsure compliance with licensing requirements (DCYF/WAC), background checks, and training recordsOversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR systems (ADP)Maintain accurate personnel files and prepare for audits or licensing visitsPartner with leadership to support staff performance, accountability, and growthOversee operational systems, organization of shared spaces, and vendor coordinationSupport a professional, respectful, and consistent workplace cultureWhat We're Looking For3–5 years of HR, operations, or administrative leadership experienceStrong knowledge of HR systems (ADP or similar preferred)Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and sound judgmentHighly organized with strong attention to detailClear communicator who follows throughReliable, consistent, and proactiveExperience in early childhood education or licensed environments is strongly preferred.Why This Role MattersThis role ensures that teachers are supported, systems are stable, and the school can operate with care, clarity, and integrity.BenefitsCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision benefits (100% base coverage)Paid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgramOther Benefits35 hours per week
