Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Description Family run dental office in Southwest Fort Wayne is looking for a dental hygienist to start in January and work 2-4 days per week depending on applicant preference. Prefer availability on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you're looking for a relaxed, professional, and friendly work environment, you'll love our office! 1 hour prophy, 1 hour lunch, competitive pay!Responsibilities:Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.Ability to perform SRP is a plus, but not required.Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions and providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit.Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories and charting in patient records.Education, Experience, and Licensing:Registered Dental Hygienist1+ years experience preferred but not requiredBenefitsPaid Time OffMatching Simple IRAFree Dental CarePaid continuing education
