This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift, apply today!Material Handler Responsibilities:Must be capable of following and meeting standard work requirementsMust be able to use computer programs to assist in recording data, making labels, printing tooling layouts, obtaining prints and specifications, printing ship-sets, etc.Ability to follow orders to pick from the warehouse for machineryWill be trained to ride a tugger and be forklift certifiedAble to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customersAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPromote positive teamworkContinue to keep current in skills through training, classes and on the job trainingMust be responsible for accurately counting and identifying materials throughout the Materials areaBe responsible for picking and delivering work between all departments and the handling and processing of materials in and out of the areaReplenish designated locations in warehouse as neededMust be capable of operating all equipment in the Materials area, including a tugger and forkliftPerform warehouse tasks including but not limited to line side storage, cycle counts, and move ticketsMust be capable of properly identifying the destination of materials being shipped and ensure proper shipping containers are used in consolidation and UPSMust be familiar with receipting methods and be able to interface with other departments to ensure proper receipts and disbursement of materialsMust be capable of moving from one job to another within the department as necessaryActively participate in department and process team activitiesWork safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environmentNotify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental riskReport all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediatelyRequirements for Material Handler:High School Diploma or GEDPrevious industrial experience a plusPrevious forklift operation or equivalent equipment preferredAble to lift to 25lbs throughout shiftAble to bend and twist throughout the shiftAble to understand, read, and write in EnglishAble to stand for 8+ hours a dayHave good verbal and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrate safe work practices and ability to work independently and with teamsShould possess sound decision making skillsHave a high degree of initiative and a good work recordGood math, counting, reading and writing skillsBe able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attentionQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
