Receiving ClerkSalt Lake - Salt Lake City, UT 84104OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift DayDescriptionJob SummaryThe Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials, including raw ingredients, packaging, and supplies. This role ensures all materials are verified against purchase orders, properly recorded in the system, and stored in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards.The Receiving Clerk is a critical control point for inventory accuracy, material traceability, and quality compliance.Primary ResponsibilitiesReceive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.Inspect materials for damage, contamination, or discrepancies.Reject or escalate any non-conforming materials.Accurately enter receipts into ERP/WMS systems.Ensure lot numbers, quantities, and product codes are correctly recorded.Maintain organized and accurate receiving documentation.Label and store materials in designated locations.Ensure proper rotation (FIFO/FEFO) is followed.Support cycle counts and inventory audits.Safely unload, move, and store materials using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack).Ensure materials are handled in a way that prevents damage or contamination.Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety procedures during receiving and storage.Verify allergen segregation requirements are maintained.Maintain clean and organized receiving areas.Communicate shortages, overages, and discrepancies to Purchasing, Quality, and Operations.Coordinate with Wave Planner and Set Up teams to ensure material availability.Support urgent material needs for production.QualificationsQualifications13 years of warehouse or receiving experience (food manufacturing preferred).Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).Basic computer skills and experience with ERP/WMS systems.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to follow processes and work independently.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.Exposure to warehouse and production environments, including allergens.
