Project Manager II – Automation & SystemsDepartment: Engineering / OperationsPosition SummaryThe Automation & Systems Project Manager serves as the key link between business operations and IT, leading the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of systems that improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality. This role owns QuickBase and the Workload Management System while driving practical automation and AI adoption—including tools such as Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude—across enterprise workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesSystems & Software OwnershipAct as business owner and primary IT liaison for enterprise applicationsLead software evaluations, implementations, integrations, upgrades, and roadmapsTranslate business requirements into functional and technical solutionsQuickBase & Workload ManagementAdminister and enhance QuickBase applications, data models, workflows, and dashboardsEnsure data integrity, security, and role-based accessMaintain and evolve the Workload Management System to improve forecasting, capacity planning, and visibilitySupport potential migrations to future platformsAI & Automation EnablementIdentify and implement AI-driven efficiencies across reporting, data processing, forecasting, and documentationApply hands-on experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude to augment workflows and decision-makingPartner with IT and leadership to ensure responsible, secure AI adoptionProcess Improvement & GovernanceDocument and standardize workflows enabled by technologyEstablish governance for system changes and user requestsTrain users and develop documentation and best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in business systems, software implementations, or digital operationsHands-on experience administering QuickBase or similar low-code platformsExperience supporting workload, resource, or project management systemsStrong ability to bridge business needs with technical solutionsPreferred QualificationsExperience implementing AI-enabled tools, including Copilot and/or ClaudeFamiliarity with integrations, APIs, and enterprise data flowsTelecom, engineering, construction, or utility industry experienceStrong analytics, dashboarding, and change management skillsKey CompetenciesBusiness-process focused, technology-first mindsetPractical, value-driven approach to automation and AIStrong communicator across technical and non-technical teamsHighly organized with a continuous improvement mindset
