Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mid-level Labor and Employment Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This individual will:Play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys in labor and employment-related mattersAssist with case managementSupport the efficient operation of the legal departmentThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveA deep understanding of labor and employment lawsProven ability to handle complex legal tasksA commitment to delivering exceptional support to the legal teamJob Duties And Responsibilities Organize and manage discovery filesSchedule depositions and prepare deposition materials and exhibitsCoordinate expert witness preparation and involvementDraft and prepare:Litigation pleadingsDiscovery responsesMotionsOther legal documents under attorney supervisionUtilize litigation databases and case management software (e.g., Relativity)Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create documents, presentations, and spreadsheetsProvide trial preparation support, including:Organizing exhibitsPreparing trial bindersAttending trials to assist attorneysWork independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clientsApply strong understanding of Civil Procedure Rules, including Federal and Georgia State rulesUtilize knowledge of Georgia State and Federal court rules and electronic filing platforms (e.g., Odyssey)Ensure strong writing and proofreading of legal documentsPerform legal fact-checking and citation verification, including Bluebook citation styleJob duties and responsibilities included are not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. The details of your weekly schedule will be discussed further with your direct supervisor.Pay rangesThis represents the presently anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including location and experience.This is a non-exempt position.
