Job Description Material HandlerButler, NJ$20/hour7AM-3:30PMJob OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our manufacturing team in Butler, NJ. This role is responsible for receiving, moving, labeling, and organizing raw bar stock materials while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on position that offers the opportunity to learn CNC machinery operations and grow within a manufacturing setting.ResponsibilitiesUnload bar stock from delivery trucks using an overhead craneReceive incoming materials and complete receiving documentationChamfer bar ends as requiredEnter data into computer systems accuratelyPrint and apply material identification tagsLabel and color-code bar stock when necessaryLoad and store materials using a forkliftPerform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracyMonitor material requirements to ensure production needs are metReturn supplier wooden boxes and maintain organized storage areasAssist with locating and moving materials for production personnelMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentLearn to operate CNC machineryPerform quality inspections on incoming materials as neededComplete additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferredBasic computer skills requiredAbility to perform basic math calculationsExperience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers preferredAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to follow detailed written and verbal instructionsForklift experience is a plusOverhead crane experience is a plusPhysical RequirementsFrequently lift up to 75 poundsOccasionally lift up to 100 poundsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent reaching, handling, and moving materialsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levelsZing Recruiting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
