ResponsibilitiesKforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis area to identify a Director of Operations. This role will oversee daily payment operations, lead and develop the operations team, and manage key customer and vendor relationships. The Director of Operations will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Client Services, Compliance/Risk, Accounting, and other internal teams to drive operational efficiency, enhance processes, and support continued business growth. This is a fully onsite position based in the Saint Louis area. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee the daily activities and workflow of the operations team Maintain team role/responsibility documentation and ensure effective backup coverage for critical processes Evaluate and improve existing workflows while developing scalable, repeatable processes to support payment operations and service delivery Act as the primary escalation point for payment-related issues and partner with internal teams to ensure timely resolution Lead team meetings and manage hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance metrics/KPIs Identify opportunities to minimize operational risk and reduce payment-related losses Support additional operational initiatives and projects as neededRequirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, Operations, or related field preferred AAP or CPP certification is a plus 7+ years of experience in financial services, business operations, fintech, or a related field 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams of 10+ employees Strong leadership, coaching, team-building, and delegation skills Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities Experience with ACH, merchant processing, card payments, and related regulations preferred Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience using data analysis tools such as SQL preferred Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
