Software Engineer

Performance Platform team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and maintaining our simulation platform. In this role, you will implement well-defined software solutions, write thorough tests, and support the features you deliver in production. You will work closely with your team and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software that our customers depend on daily.ResponsibilitiesImplement well-defined software solutions based on technical designs provided by senior engineersWrite unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and correctnessSupport and maintain features post-launch, including investigating and resolving production issuesParticipate in code reviews — both submitting and reviewing peer codeContribute to operational excellence through on-call rotations, runbook creation, and monitoringCollaborate with teammates and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver on commitmentsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field1+ year(s) of professional software development experience in JavaExperience writing clean, testable, and maintainable codeFamiliarity with object-oriented design principlesExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Preferred QualificationsExperience with AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch)Experience with distributed systems or microservices architectureFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationExperience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB)Exposure to simulation or modeling systemsStrong debugging and problem-solving skills
