Senior Electrical Engineer
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems and hardware products.Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems, including schematics, PCB layout guidance, Flex PCBA layout, and component selectionOwn end to end hardware development, from concept and requirements definition through prototype, validation, and production releasePerform circuit analysis, simulation, and debugging for analog, digital, and mixed signal designsDefine and execute electrical validation and compliance testing (EMI/EMC, safety, reliability, environmental)Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure system level integrationSupport manufacturing bring up, yield improvement, and root cause analysis of field and production issuesReview and approve engineering documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test plans, and design reviewsEnsure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (UL, CE, FCC, SEMI, etc.)Interface with suppliers and external partners for component qualification and technical reviewsThis role supports both new product design and sustaining engineering, including troubleshooting and customer escalations.Engineering documentation and complaints engineeringEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirementsParticipate in both new and sustaining engineering initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required8+ years of experience in electrical or electronics engineeringStrong experience with analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit designProficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Allegro, OrCAD, Cadence, PSpice or similar tools acceptable)Hands on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers)Solid understanding of power electronics, signal integrity, grounding, and noise mitigationExperience supporting product development in a regulated or manufacturing environmentStrong problem solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysisExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTechnical leadership and ownershipCross functional collaborationAttention to detail and documentation rigorAbility to work independently on complex problemsStrong hands-on experience in electrical and electronic system design, with a heavy focus on PCB and Flex PCB design.Strong technical depth, hands on design experience, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating cross functionally with manufacturing, quality, firmware, and systems teams.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degreeExperience in semiconductor equipment, industrial systems, or high reliability hardwareKnowledge of wafer handling systemsFamiliarity with firmware/software interaction and hardware software integrationExperience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT)Prior experience leading projects or acting as a technical lead6-10 years of experience preferred California Fair Chance ActSynectics Inc. will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
