Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Executive Chef located in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. The Executive Chef will be responsible for menu planning, preparing and executing high-quality dishes, leading and mentoring the kitchen team, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. The role also involves overseeing inventory management, collaborating with suppliers, managing food costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional culinary offerings. Qualifications Culinary expertise in American and Mediterranean cuisine, with a strong ability in creating innovative menus and recipes.Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring kitchen staff, along with effective communication and teamwork abilities.Proficiency in inventory management, food costing, and supplier coordination to maintain efficient kitchen operations.Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards to ensure compliance and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Formal culinary training or a degree in culinary arts is preferred, though equivalent experience is also considered.Prior experience in a leadership role within a high-quality dining establishment, preferably with a focus on American or Mediterranean cuisine.
