This position will oversee the management and operation of the American Legion Memorial Stadium and Grady Cole Civic Center. This position will manage all aspects of facility operations, including but not limited to development and execution of a maintenance program for the facilities, equipment management, staff supervision, management of service contracts, inspection of work sites and equipment to ensure compliance with County standards, fiscal management, event contracts management, partnership contracts management and oversight of safety training program related to activities in the facilities. This position will also serve as the lead for all event day logistics and operations. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with large-scale special event management and knowledge of facility operations. This position will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the events schedule. Events typically occur on Friday and Saturday evenings with weekdays dedicated to facility maintenance and preparation. Facility Information: American Legion Memorial Stadium and Grady Cole Center are located near uptown Charlotte and adjacent to Central Piedmont Community College. It consists of a newly renovated 9,300-seat stadium and an attached 2000-seat civic center. The facility hosts a variety of festivals, concerts and professional & collegiate sports year-round, including tournaments such as the Men’s & Women’s ACC Lacrosse Championships. In addition, the facility is the home of 3 professional sports teams- Charlotte Independence (Men’s Soccer), Anthem RC (Men’s Rugby), and Carolina Ascent FC (Women’s Soccer).
