Design Engineer L2

Job Description:Design Engineer - Level 2 to support the design and development of components and systems.This role includes all Level 1 responsibilities, with added ownership of complex designs, analysis, and support through prototype and production.Responsibilities:Design and develop components, parts, and systems from concept to productionPerform design feasibility studies, cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selectionCreate and maintain 3D models and layouts in CATIA V5 (required); V6 preferredExecute hose and pipe routing and harness/cable routingPrepare, check, and release 2D and 3D drawingsApply GD&T to ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturabilitySupport prototype builds, testing, and manufacturing launchVerify designs meet quality, cost, performance, and regulatory requirementsRecommend design improvements to support testing and mass productionCoordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross ‐ functional teamsRequirements:6+ years of engineering design experienceBachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience in concept development, specification setting, and layout creationStrong communication and coordination skillsCATIA V5 (must), V6 (preferred)2D & 3D drawing creation and releaseGD&THose, pipe, harness, and cable routingKnowledge of manufacturing processes and part constructionPreferred:Experience mentoring junior engineersFamiliarity with PLM and engineering change processesWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more
