As an Application Development Advisor, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.ResponsibilitiesProvide professional expertise on Application Development assignments and projects within the MetagenAI platformContribute to the design and development of moderately complex systems and subsystems, utilizing a solid understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designsCollaborate with business unit and IT teams across all phases of application programming and development processes across diverse platforms and computing environments (e.g., distributed systems, client-server, cloud-based technologies, and tools)Work closely with product and IT teams to identify and implement application development solutions, including new or modified programs, reuse of existing code, integration of purchased solutions, or a combination of available alternativesResearch and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend efficient and cost-effective approaches to application development challengesCode new or modified programs, reuse existing code through program development best practices, and integrate third-party or purchased solutions as neededDocument, test, deploy, and provide ongoing support for applications and featuresApply creativity and sound judgment in planning and delivering development initiativesLeverage strong technical knowledge in full stack development to contribute meaningfully to team discussions and deliveryWork across frontend, backend, database, and cloud layers as part of a collaborative development teamActively participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure code quality and consistencyImplement features across frontend (React) and backend (Python/FastAPI)Optimize performance of APIs, database queries, and UI componentsDebug and resolve production issuesWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested codeTranslate product requirements into technical implementationsWork closely with product, data, and AI teamsParticipate in design reviews and technical discussionsFollow established coding standards and best practicesQualificationsRequires Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering or a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computers or engineering Full Stack Engineer: Experience required: 8+ yearsBackend (Core)Python – FastAPI/Django/FlaskRESTful APIs – Design and implementationSQLAlchemy ORMAsync programming (async/await)Frontend (Core)React – Modern React with hooksJavaScript/TypeScript State management (Redux/Context API)Material-UI or similar component librariesDatabasePostgreSQL – Production experience, query optimizationSQL – Complex queries, indexing, schema designCloud and DevOpsAWS – Hands-on with multiple services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, EKS)Docker – ContainerizationKubernetes/EKS – Container orchestrationCI/CD – Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub ActionsArchitectureMicroservices – Experience working in distributed systemsSystem design – Scalability, performance, reliabilityAPI patterns – REST best practicesAI/ML IntegrationLangChain or LLM orchestration frameworksOpenAI API integration experiencePrompt engineering and embeddingsSemantic search implementationSpecialized DatabasesNeo4j or graph databases (Cypher)Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)Data EngineeringAWS Glue or Apache SparkETL/ELT pipelinesData profiling and quality assessmentThe salary range for this role is $105,000 to $155,000 or the hourly equivalent.
