We pride ourselves on delivering deeply analytical, actionable, and holistic financial plans that help our clients achieve their life goals.Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team as an In-House Tax Planning Specialist. In this role, you will be the "technical engine" behind our most advanced financial plans. You will not be expected to lead client planning meetings; instead, you will work hand-in-hand with our lead Financial Advisors behind the scenes to analyze client data, provide expert tax input during the planning process, and take ownership of implementing complex financial and tax strategies.If you love the analytical side of tax and financial planning but prefer to avoid the constant pressure of client-facing sales or traditional tax-season grinds, this is the perfect role for you. In this position, you WILL NOT be filing or processing client tax returns.Key Responsibilities:Planning & Analysis: Collaborate closely with Financial Advisors during the financial planning process. Review client tax returns, estate documents, and business structures to identify high-level tax mitigation and wealth transfer opportunities.Strategy Implementation: Take ownership of executing advanced planning strategies (e.g., Roth conversions, donor-advised funds, tax-loss harvesting execution, entity restructuring, and trust funding).Team Collaboration: Act as the internal subject matter expert on tax law. Provide technical input to advisors when building custom financial plans and model out various tax scenarios.Professional Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between our firm and our clients' external tax preparers, estate attorneys, and other professionals to ensure our recommended strategies are properly executed and reported on their returns.Ongoing Education: Monitor changes in tax legislation, economic policies, and financial regulations. Brief the advisory team on new laws and how they impact our current client base.Qualifications:Education & Certification: Active CPA license is required.Experience: [3-5+] years of experience in tax planning, public accounting, family office operations, or a wealth management environment.Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of individual, corporate, and trust/estate taxation. Experience with high-net-worth tax strategies is highly preferred.Analytical Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to model complex financial scenarios and clearly translate those numbers into actionable advice for our advisors.Team Player: Excellent internal communication skills.
