Offensive Security Operations EngineerThe successful candidate will perform advanced security operations reverse engineering and software development for network-based devices within a dynamic mission-centric environment. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and other engineers to provide critical tactical support.ResponsibilitiesDerive, document, and analyze stakeholder requirements.Port, modify or augment existing toolsets.Provide rapid prototypes for early validation and user feedback.Deliver production-ready tools that operate within mission constraints.Required SkillsFamiliarity with Unix-based systems (e.g., BSD, Linux).Experience with reverse engineering Linux-based network devices using Ghidra and/or IDA Pro.In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and analysis of network traffic (Wireshark).Able to produce and modify software systems in C/C++/Python/Assembly.Experience providing support for fielded software systems.Familiarity with Git, Subversion, and Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence).Nice To HaveExperience with reverse engineering various RTOS or MS Windows ™.Knowledge of RISC processors (MIPS, POWER, ARM).Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, Rust, Go.Background in developing offensive security operations software in Linux/Windows/Embedded applications.Experience in vulnerability research and exploit development.Understanding of end-to-end signals intelligence collection and analysis systems.Familiarity with production advanced security operations capabilities and operations.Experience Required: 6 years with Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4 additional years without the degree, or 4 years with Master's degreeLocation: Columbia, MDClearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph requiredSalary Range: $174,000 - $207,000
