Tax Staff/Senior

Job Description Seeking to fill a tax staff/senior staff position for a certified public accounting firm located in Tallahassee, Florida. Applicant must be able to actively participate in the completion of tax procedures, complete tax returns and other miscellaneous projects for clients in various industries. Job Description:Prepare partnership, corporate and individual tax returns and complete tax planning and other tax consulting procedures.Comprehend new and complicated issues and perform basic research to solve complex problems.Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.Consistently utilize all firm and department software efficiently.Complete accurate, neat, organized workpapers and other documents free of basic grammatical, spelling and calculation errors.Develop and demonstrate strong leadership skills.Develop and display knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, tax rules and regulations, and demonstrate good judgment and behavior consistent with rules of conduct of the AICPA.Work Experience/Education:· BA or BS in accounting.· Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam and actively pursuing CPA designation.· Strong proficiency in the use of technology and basic PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).· 2-5 years of accounting experience, tax experience preferred.Company DescriptionWe offer a competitive salary with an excellent benefit package; such as, Capital Health Plan Health Insurance - 100% of the employee's premium paid by the Firm, Profit Sharing and 401(k) Retirement Plans, Paid Time Off accrued from date of hire and evaluations at six and twelve months during the initial year, annually thereafter.Our commitment to excellence is based on a team of professionals personally dedicated to providing meaningful solutions to clients as they face the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing business environment.
