Senior Flexographic Press Operator🖨️ Full-Time | Wide Web Flexographic Printing Experience RequiredPPC is seeking an experienced Senior Flexographic Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for safely operating, setting up, and maintaining wide web flexographic printing presses while leading press assistants and supporting overall production efficiency, quality, and safety standards.The ideal candidate will have strong technical printing knowledge, leadership ability, and a commitment to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in driving productivity, minimizing waste, and ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent press performance and print quality.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate and set up wide web flexographic printing pressesRead and follow daily production schedules to meet production demands and customer deadlinesReview customer orders, artwork, and job specifications to ensure accurate production setupRecord production activities, setup information, downtime, and run conditions accuratelyTrack materials and production data using Axapta, shop floor systems, and production reportsAccurately scan and process materials entering and exiting the pressOptimize press setup and operation to minimize waste and maximize efficiencyMonitor print quality throughout production runs using AVT defect detection systems and quality control toolsIdentify and flag defects, splices, and print issues while maintaining accurate documentationMaintain cleanliness and organization of the press and surrounding work areaTroubleshoot and report mechanical or operational issues promptlyStage upcoming jobs and coordinate workflow with press assistantsTrain, mentor, and direct press assistants and other team members as neededSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reductionFollow all company safety, GMP, and quality proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 5 years of wide web flexographic printing experience requiredStrong understanding of flexographic printing processes and print quality standardsAbility to read and interpret:ArtworkProduct layout sheets (PLS)Work ordersColor separationsColor master documentationExperience using spectro densitometers and print quality measurement toolsUnderstanding of digital print workflows and production systemsAbility to train and lead employees in all press-related functionsStrong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently while supporting team goalsPreferred ExperienceExperience with AVT defect detection systemsExperience with Axapta or similar ERP/shop floor systemsExperience leading or mentoring press assistants and operatorsStrong knowledge of color management and print consistencyWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods during shiftsAbility to lift and handle materials, sleeves, plates, and tools as requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to work overtime and flexible schedules based on production demandsExposure to manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, inks, and solvents in a production environmentWhy Join PPC?Stable and growing manufacturing companyTeam-oriented production environmentModern flexographic printing equipment and technologyOpportunities for growth and advancementCompetitive pay based on experienceHands-on role with direct impact on product quality and operational successIf you are an experienced flexographic press operator looking to join a strong manufacturing team with opportunities for growth and leadership, we encourage you to apply!
