Construction Estimator

*Overview:* We are seeking an experienced Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts across a variety of commercial construction projects. This individual will play a critical role in developing accurate, competitive estimates while partnering closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout the preconstruction process. *Key Responsibilities:* * Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of project scope and requirements * Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work * Lead the preparation of conceptual, schematic, and final estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness * Evaluate and level subcontractor bids, negotiate pricing, and assist in drafting and awarding subcontracts * Develop and maintain project budgets, including providing updates as design and scope evolve * Identify potential risks, cost drivers, and value engineering opportunities during the preconstruction phase * Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and design professionals to align estimating assumptions with execution strategies * Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy under tight timelines * Stay current on market trends, material pricing, and labor conditions to inform estimating strategies *Qualifications:* * 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within commercial general contracting * Strong expertise in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents * Proven ability to develop accurate, detailed estimates across multiple project types and sizes * Proficiency with OnScreen Takeoff and/or similar estimating software * Solid understanding of construction delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM at Risk, etc.) * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with experience working directly with subcontractors and clients * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) Work Location: In person
