Serve as trainer for the departmental staff. Handle employee, patient and visitors' concerns, appropriately escalating issues as needed to upper management. Ensure that processes and policies are in place, employees are receiving effective communication and training information, and the department is run effectively and efficiently. Qualifications Reading and numerical competency. At least one (1) year of college preferred to include business courses, accounting, healthcare related courses and/or office managementA minimum of five (5) years of experience, which includes medical, management/supervisory and Admissions/registration department experience. Acute hospital experience strongly preferredKnowledgeable regarding third party payors including Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance. Outstanding people skills, including telephone technique, personal appearance, organization skills, communicable skills (verbal and written), independent and self-motivated, flexible, analytic and arithmetic skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills and computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
