Senior Software Development EngineerAbout The RoleWe are seeking a highly technical and hands-on Senior Software Development Engineer to help build and scale our core product. This is a backend-heavy full-stack role, with primary responsibility for designing and building scalable Python services and data-intensive distributed systems. You will also contribute to the frontend using React, but the primary focus will be on backend architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and system scalability. The ideal candidate has experience working with large-scale, data-heavy applications and distributed systems and enjoys solving complex performance, scalability, and infrastructure challenges.What You'll DoDesign and build scalable Python-based backend services, APIs, and microservices.Develop and optimize systems that process and manage large volumes of data in distributed environments.Build and maintain high-throughput data pipelines and ETL workflows.Contribute to frontend development using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and performance using PostgreSQL and analytical databases such as StarRocks or ClickHouse.Build scalable asynchronous and event-driven systems using RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies.Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and high-load environments.Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture, technical decisions, and system design.Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and engineering best practices.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership.Required Qualifications5–10 years of professional software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Python backend development.Experience designing and building scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.Experience working with large-scale, data-intensive applications or platforms.Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL or high-throughput data pipelines.Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design.Experience with React.js and modern JavaScript, TypeScript.Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.Experience with GCP, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging systems.Strong understanding of system scalability, performance optimization, and distributed system concepts.Preferred QualificationsExperience with analytical databases such as StarRocks or ClickHouse.Experience building data-intensive or high-volume distributed systems.Experience with cloud object storage.Experience working in a high-growth startup or fast-paced engineering environment.Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
