Utilizing the common items at home or special adaptive equipment, the OT will train the patient or caregiver in activities such as self-grooming, dressing, toileting and bathing. There are also advanced activities such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry and shopping that the OT is particularly geared toward. In addition to the above, the occupational therapy team focuses on community re-integration, as well as introducing patients to leisure-type activities that provide a holistic approach to treating health and wellness.Title: Occupational TherapistSchedule: Per Diem (6 visits p/week) to Part Time (18 visits per week)* Non-traditional schedules are available, i.e., Thursday-MondayLocations: Area #40 covering the areas of North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Sun Valley, Toluca Lake, Universal City, Valley Glen, Valley Village, Van Nuys and Area #41 covering the areas of Arleta, Granada Hills, Mission Hills, North Hills, Northridge, Pacoima, Panorama City, Porter Ranch, San Fernando, SylmarPaid Training: Must be able to attend paid training for 5 days Mon-Friday 9am-5:30pm in Woodland HillsMinimum Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience desiredOpen to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experienceValid California Occupational Therapist licenseReliable TransportationCPR/BLS CertificationMust be available to work two days per week.
