DevOps Engineer – Application Deployment & Production Operations (Fintech)

ResponsibilitiesCI/CD & DeploymentBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or similar)Automate build, testing, and deployment workflowsImplement safe deployment strategies such as rolling or blue/green deploymentsImprove deployment speed while maintaining production safetyProduction OperationsMonitor application health, uptime, and system performanceManage and deploy containerized workloads (Docker, ECS or Kubernetes)Participate in on-call rotations and support incident responsePerform root cause analysis and coordinate safe rollbacks when necessaryEnvironment ManagementMaintain clear separation between development, staging, and production environmentsManage configuration and environment variables securelyWork with existing AWS infrastructure to support deployments and environment configurationEnsure secrets are stored and accessed securely (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager)Security & Compliance SupportEnforce least-privilege access control practicesMaintain logging and audit trails for operational activitiesSupport internal compliance processes (e.g., SOC 2 readiness)Follow strict production access controls and security policiesWhat We’re Looking For3+ years of DevOps, Production Engineering, or similar experienceStrong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesExperience deploying and operating containerized applicationsSolid understanding of Linux systems and Git workflowsStrong troubleshooting and incident response skillsWorking knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC basics)Nice to HaveExperience working in fintech startup, payments, or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as TerraformExperience with monitoring and observability platformsExperience supporting secure production environments
