Sr Accountant

This is a growth-oriented position designed for a motivated professional who is eager to deepen their technical expertise, expand their business acumen, and build a well-rounded foundation across the finance organization.If you're looking for a role where you can move beyond routine tasks, take on meaningful responsibility, and accelerate your development in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment-this is it.Prepare full Statements of Cash Flow, including building them from underlying financial data and supporting schedulesAnalyze financial activity to accurately classify operating, investing, and financing cash flowsPrepare and post journal entries and perform detailed account reconciliationsSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesAssist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packagesPrepare audit schedules and partner with auditors during annual auditsRecord and analyze revenue, including patient transport activityPrepare accounts receivable reporting and valuation analysesMaintain and reconcile fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesCollaborate with and support senior accounting staff across multiple functional areasGain exposure to diverse accounting processes and financial operations across the organizationPerform ad hoc analyses and other duties as assigned Who You AreA technically strong accountant who understands not just how to prepare financials-but whyExperienced in building cash flow statements, not just reviewing themEager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple areas of accountingDetail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environmentA collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving settingCPA Certified QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. In accordance with applicable laws, Air Methods will provide reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden so disabled employees may perform the essential functions of the position.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting or Business from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.5-8 years of staff accounting experience preferredAbility to determine proper accounting treatment for transactions based on accounting principles SkillsExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levelsStrong business acumen with the ability to understand business situations, strategies, theory, processes, budgeting and operations Computer SkillsProficient in Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAdvanced Excel skills, to include pivot tables, complex formulas, and linksMicrosoft Dynamics SL or Great Plains software experience preferred Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCPA requiredAir Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
