Trial Attorney

Liakas Law, P.C., a personal injury practice with offices located in New York and New Jersey, is seeking a full-time plaintiff’s trial associate to join the team. The firm was founded on the principles of compassion and integrity and is rooted in the spirit of relentless advocacy.Essential Functions:• Evaluate the merits of a personal injury case; determine insurance coverage, case value, and medical treatment plans• Interview clients and witnesses• Conduct legal research and strategic case analysis• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents• Prepare cases for trial, including jury selection, opening statements, witness examinations, and closing arguments• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and trials• Collaborate with experts (economists, accident reconstructionists, etc.)• Lead negotiations and maintain strong client communicationQualifications:• Candidates will have 2–5 years of plaintiff’s personal injury experience• An active legal license to practice in New York and in good standing• Ability to effectively communicate• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlinesLiakas Law offers a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, vacation, paid sick time, commuter benefits, and a 401(k) plan.
