A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - PCU Stepdown/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM/n• Rotating shifts will not occur more than weekly/n• Every other weekend requirement/n• Every other holiday requirement/n• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow 1:3/n• Must have PCU experience and be able to read cardiac strips/n• Care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac conditions, post-cardiac cath patients, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, COVID BiPap, and general surgical patients with cardiac history/n• Required to titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine/n• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently/n• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, medical surgical for full assignments, and some ER holds/boarding/n• Two 12-hour orientation shifts on Friday and Saturday of first week, working independently by Sunday/n• Any color scrubs permitted/n• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, trachs, and Airvo/n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS/n• Epic charting system experience preferred/n• Travel experience welcome, including first-time travelers/n• BSN not required/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility operates a 32-bed progressive care unit focused on telemetry and cardiac care.
