Founding Program Lead & Client Engagement

We are working with a venture-backed start-up dedicated to providing expert and scientific data for life-sciences AI . The team operates as a guild of practicing pharma scientists who manually curate the data that powers the next generation of AI models. With core offerings include providing study-ready curated datasets (spanning biomarkers, RNA-seq, and multi-omics), model evaluation to grade and rewrite frontier model outputs, and rigorous safety reviews for dual-use research. Role Overview: We are seeking a multidisciplinary operations leader with a strong track record in fast-paced start-up environments across the healthcare and technology sectors. As the Founding Program Lead / Client Engagement, you will be instrumental in managing customer operations and delivery for Generative AI clients training foundational LLMs . You will sit at the intersection of our scientific guild and our strategic partners, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality data while driving business growth. Key Responsibilities: Manage customer operations and end-to-end programmatic delivery for clients developing foundational life-sciences AI models. Lead model development programs , which includes gathering client requirements, running complex data labelling and annotation operations, and formulating comprehensive model development strategies. Spearhead business development and strategy , actively securing new strategic customer engagements and partnerships to expand our footprint in the biopharma space. Oversee the generation, management, and delivery of curated datasets involving large-scale RNA-sequencing, proteomics, and multi-omics . Lead client engagements that support the use of complex, multimodal data (including structured and unstructured records) to drive R&D and pipeline decision-making. Drive product innovation, go-to-market strategies, and operational efficiency across our data offerings, managing significant quarterly revenue goals. Ideal Qualifications & Profile: Education: PhD in Chemical Biology, Biological and Biomedical Sciences , or a highly related scientific discipline. Additional background in Applied Math and Statistics is highly valued. AI & Operations Experience: Proven experience managing customer operations and delivery for Generative AI clients , particularly those actively training foundational LLMs. Scientific Expertise: Deep, hands-on understanding of oncology drug discovery, translational science, and the bioinformatic analysis of multi-omics data. Technical Acumen: Strong familiarity with NLP model development, annotation platform management, and handling data pipelines for structured, unstructured, and multimodal healthcare data. Leadership & Business Skills: Exceptional skills in Account Management, Project Management, and Consulting , with a demonstrated history of taking ownership of substantial revenue streams and client outcomes. Industry Background: Previous experience managing product development or operational strategy for SaaS products, clinical trial optimization, or digital health data platforms
