Project Coordinator

Growing, well-regarded biotech organization is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its team! Location: Rensselaer, NY Duration: 12 month contract, opportunity for permanent hire! Pay: $23-25/hr. Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm Summary: Using project management techniques and experience, the Project Coordinator leads various projects to support the overall portfolios managed by the Department. Day-to-day duties include:Supports project manager with leading at least one sub-project.Maintains and executes Project Management project plans, timelines, and agendas, in order to facilitate planning and coordination of deliverables for each assigned project.Utilizes basic project management techniques to develop and maintain planning tools (Spreadsheets, MS Project, Microsoft Visio etc.).Develops working relationships with multiple stakeholders utilizing open communication skills.Implements tools used by the team and is directly responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of planning files as well as project update reports for all assigned projects.Develops and maintains the organizational structure of shared databases; identifies and implements solutions in order to improve information sharing processes.Education and Experience:Requires Bachelor's degree in a physical or biological science or business equivalent combination of education and experience.Action oriented and well organized.Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Proficient in techniques with relevant software: MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel & PowerPoint, etc. in addition to experience working within shared work environments (OneDrive, Sharepoint, Team, OneNote, etc.)Handles multiple priorities/tasks with strong time management skills.
