3020093As a Senior DevOps Engineer I, you will help operate and improve our infrastructure and development processes, with a strong focus on cloud engineering across GCP and AWS, CI/CD, observability, and automation. You will implement and maintain reliable platforms and tooling, contribute to larger platform features that may span multiple components or teams, and execute operational work with care and consistency.You will work closely with application teams, other platform teams, and a Senior DevOps Engineer II and manager for design input, prioritization, and guidance when trade-offs are broad or ambiguous. Over time, you will take on more independent ownership as your familiarity with our platforms, tooling, and practices deepens.What You’ll Do:Implement, maintain, and operate infrastructure on GCP and AWS using established patterns and standardsContribute to infrastructure-as-code changes using tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or PulumiDeliver larger infrastructure or platform changes that may span multiple services or environments, coordinating dependencies and handoffs with partner teamsBuild, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines (Harness or similar) using team playbooks and templatesSupport deployments across development, staging, and production environments and help troubleshoot pipeline issuesImplement and maintain observability using Dynatrace, supporting monitoring, alerting, and incident triageAutomate repeatable operational and delivery tasks using scripts, pipelines, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)Take ownership of steady, recurring operational work such as maintenance tasks, access hygiene, certificate renewals, and pipeline upkeepPartner with development and operations teams to improve platform reliability, signal quality, and application supportCreate and improve documentation and runbooks with feedback from senior peersParticipate in a shared on-call rotation (approximately once every six weeks; rotation frequency depends on team size)What You’ll Need:5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related fieldHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)Strong grounding in one cloud and working exposure to the other, or the ability to ramp quickly with supportPractical experience with CI/CD platforms such as Harness, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or JenkinsExperience with observability tools, including Dynatrace or equivalent platformsWorking knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes (or similar orchestration platforms)Experience contributing to infrastructure as code within established patternsScripting or automation experience using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languagesExperience automating infrastructure and workflows in team environmentsStrong execution discipline, attention to detail, and follow-throughClear communication skills and comfort raising blockers earlyGrowth mindset with interest in learning standards and gradually owning larger areas of the platformSkills That Set You Apart:Experience with internal developer platforms or platform-as-a-service tools (e.g., Backstage, Harness IDP)Understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized environmentsRelevant certifications (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes – Associate level or similar)Familiarity supporting database-backed workloads at the platform boundary, such as:Backup and restore supportApplying approved runbook changesHelping application teams with migrations or connectivity issuesNote: This role is not a primary DBA position. You will partner with DBAs or data platform teams as needed.Compensation & Benefits:The salary range for this role is $78,300.00 - $145,300.00 and is based on experience and qualifications.Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year.
