The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.Key ResponsibilitiesLoad, haul, and deliver food waste and green waste on intra- and interstate routes with approximately 15–25 stops per day based on company routing schedulesOperate 30'–45' open-top dump trailers and combination vehicles safely and efficientlyOperate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and all local, state, and federal lawsService customer locations using three-yard bins and 64-gallon totes containing food waste and green waste materialsOperate manual and electric pallet jacks as neededUtilize pressure washers to clean bins and containers while ensuring customer sites remain clean and debris-freePerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections dailyUse hand tools for minor repairs and maintenance of company equipment and containersMaintain overall cleanliness and basic maintenance of trucks and equipmentUtilize electronic logging devices (ELD) and maintain accurate DOT logsComplete and submit all required paperwork, including service tickets, contamination reports, and maintenance documentationCommunicate regularly with customers, vendors, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure seamless serviceReport all accidents, injuries, safety concerns, and equipment issues immediately to managementAttend weekly safety meetings, trainings, and operational briefingsUtilize computers and mobile devices for communication, training, routing, and expense managementMaintain flexibility to work varying schedules based on operational and seasonal demandsMinimum Qualifications:Class A CDL License (self-certified as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver with the state of issuance)Clean MVR and PSPMust be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience OR 21 years of age with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience IF a graduate from a Truck Driving School or 1 year of Military experience.Stable work historyMust pass a pre-employment drug screen.Physical Requirements:Regularly lifting, pulling, and/or pushing up to 70 pounds, bending, stooping, twisting, shoveling, or reaching overhead.Able to regularly pull/roll up to 300 pounds when working with totes.Ability to manage unpleasant odors from food waste/farms.Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.What we offer:Mission-driven work in a rapidly growing sustainability companyOpportunities for professional growth and learningCollaborative, values-driven team cultureCompetitive salary and benefitsWhy You'll Love Working at Denali- Benefits & PerksAt Denali, the work we do begins and ends with you – our employees.
